The West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has made his first transfer moves since clinching promotion to the Premier League, completing the permanent signings of striker Luke Moore and midfielder Kim Do-hoen. Moore has finalised a £3m move from Aston Villa, while Kim's loan from Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma has been upgraded at a cost of £550,000.

Moore, who has signed a three-year contract, joined Mowbray's side on loan in February and made three starts and seven substitute appearances as the Baggies won the Championship title. A product of Villa's youth system, Moore was a prolific goalscorer for their academy and reserve teams, winning the FA Youth Cup in 2002 alongside brother Stefan.

The England Under-21 international followed his brother into the first-team reckoning at Villa Park and scored eight league goals in 16 starts in the 2005-06 season - his most productive in a claret and blue shirt. He also began 2006-07 in promising fashion, scoring twice in the first eight games, only for a shoulder injury to rule him out for six months. Last season, he scored twice in nine starts for Villa and found first-team opportunities limited following the arrivals of John Carew and Marlon Harewood and the emergence of Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Kim, meanwhile, arrived at The Hawthorns on January 31 and made one start and six appearances from the bench during a spell that impressed Mowbray. "The four months he has already spent with us will have been a big benefit to him in terms of integrating with the squad and overcoming the language barrier," said Mowbray. "I'm now looking forward to working with Kim next season."
