Phil Vickery will return to bolster Wasps' Guinness Premiership title challenge at Twickenham tomorrow after making an unexpectedly swift recovery from the knee injury which has kept him out of England's tour to New Zealand.

Vickery said: "I have trained fully this week and I am down on the team sheet to play. All being well, I'm looking forward to walking out the tunnel at Twickenham."

It had been feared that the tight-head prop would miss the remainder of the season after damaging the medial ligament in his right knee in mid-April. But the England captain trained yesterday and will reclaim the No3 shirt against Leicester.

The Wasps director of rugby, Ian McGeechan, said: "I am delighted that Phil has come through a week's training and contact to be fit for Saturday. It helps to make up for the loss of Danny Cipriani and Tom Voyce for this game."

Cipriani, who is recovering from a serious ankle injury, is replaced at fly-half by Riki Flutey, the Professional Rugby Players' Association player of the year. Dominic Waldouck and Fraser Waters are set to forge Wasps' midfield partnership.
Voyce's absence through a shoulder injury means Josh Lewsey lines up on the wing, with Mark Van Gisbergen called into the side at full-back. Lawrence Dallaglio will captain the team in his final appearance for the club.
