Shaun Wright-Phillips has no plans to leave Chelsea for Manchester City, according to his agent, despite speculation linking the midfielder with a return to his former club.
Wright-Phillips, who left City for Stamford Bridge in a £21m move two years ago, has been linked with a £9m transfer back to Eastlands after reports suggested he does not figure in Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari's plans this season. Everton manager David Moyes, who has failed in a number of attempts to strengthen his squad this summer, is said to be tracking the 26-year-old.
However, Wright-Phillips has no desire to move north, according to his agent, Wayne Lindsay. "He doesn't want to join either [Manchester City or Everton] and we are now discussing the next move to see what we do," said Linsdsay. "Because of all the problems there [City] and the uncertainty surrounding the place he is unsure.
"He is speaking with the manager [Scolari] at the moment but he is settled in London. He would like to stay and that's the bottom line but it is up to the manager. We are looking at all the options really at this moment in time so I can't really say much more."
