Patrice Evra has been ruled out of Manchester United's Champions League tie against Celtic tomorrow night with a hamstring injury. The left-back was injured during his club's win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and, though he joined his team-mates for training this morning, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has decided not to risk him.
Evra will be replaced in the starting line-up by John O'Shea, while both Anderson and Carlos Tevez will once again be available for selection after returning from international duty in South America. Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves remain injured.
Despite being substituted during his side's 2 -1 over Inverness on Saturday, Celtic defender Gary Caldwell will play with stitches against United. But the club are facing a lengthy injury list with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Georgios Samaras, Chris Killen and midfielder Marc Crosas all unavailable.
