Carlo Ancelotti has again snubbed Chelsea, insisting he wants to remain at Milan next season. The Italian manager has long been rumoured as a potential successor to Guus Hiddink, and as a target for Real Madrid should Florentino Perez win the Spanish club's presidential campaign.

"My wish is to remain at Milan. It's of course on condition that we finish at least third and manage qualification for the Champions League," Ancelotti said.

Milan are in third place but remain 14 points adrift of Serie A leaders Inter. They have not won a title since 2004 and, despite winning the European Cup in 2007, Ancelotti has been told by his Milan bosses that third spot is a minimum requirement this season.

"The issue is closed. My aim, which I repeat so everyone understands, is to coach Milan also next season," he added.

Ancelotti blamed a string of injuries for Milan's average showing this season and said Liverpool were the strongest team in Europe. However Hiddink was the coach he most respected, he added.
