Kenny Dalglish has said Liverpool are fully backing Luis Suárez over allegations by Manchester United's Patrice Evra that he was racially abused in the north-west derby last weekend.
"The only thing I will say – to put the matter to bed – is that everyone at the club is totally and utterly behind Luis Suárez. There was an allegation after the game about him diving all over the place and there was an allegation of racism from Patrice Evra.
"Obviously the two things are quite emotive subjects but we support the wee man on both. At the start of the week the club made its position known and apart from what I have just said we won't be adding to it. We are looking forward to a complete transparent report from the FA [Football Association] and we will co-operate 100%."
Suárez has promised Liverpool supporters they have not seen the best of him yet, and said he was disappointed that his side did not take their chances to beat United last week. "I think I can still keep improving and offer that little bit more," the Uruguay striker said. "I am happy at how the team is playing as a whole but from a personal point of view I'd love to be able to provide that bit extra.
"We feel we are capable of beating anyone, and we should certainly have gone on to win the game against United. We had more opportunities to score than they did. I think they had one or two, but we had four or five really good chances to win it."
