Manuel Pellegrini has appeared to say that he managed Manchester United instead of Manchester City after winning his first trophy as City's manager on Sunday.
Speaking to the BBC following the 3-1 Capital One Cup final victory over Sunderland at Wembley, Pellegrini said: "I love pressure so to manage a big team as Manchester United and to have options in all the competitions is very good, is very beautiful for all of us," in a response to a question about managing a club of City's stature (after 1min 10sec of above video).
The comments come 10 days after the Chilean manager said that City were now the biggest club in Manchester, as their attempt to win a domestic treble is still very much alive while United's difficult first season under David Moyes seems destined to end without a trophy and a finish outside the Champions League places.
