José Mourinho has guided Manchester United to only one win against a direct rival this season – the 3-1 victory at Arsenal in early December. On Sunday this has to change against a Chelsea team only three points behind his side. United fans will hope their manager instructs his men to take the contest to Antonio Conte’s but whether this occurs remains to be seen as Mourinho’s default position can often be safety-first.
