Australia skateboarder Keegan Palmer will be out to defend his Olympic crown, and follow in the footsteps of Paris 2024 gold medallist Arisa Trew, as the men’s park kicks off.

The men’s team pursuit squad have already set a track cycling world record in Paris and will now ride for gold in a final against Great Britain.

In a packed athletics program, Nina Kennedy is in the women’s pole vault final and Matthew Denny will throw for a medal in the discus.

The Opals are down to the last eight in women’s basketball, the Sharks are at the same stage in men’s water polo, and women’s golf begins with high hopes for Hannah Green and Minjee Lee.
