Squad sheet: Liverpool v Norwich City

Lucas Leiva is suspended for Liverpool against Norwich after accumulating five yellow cards

The Norwich manager Paul Lambert has promised that his side will "give it a go" at Anfield on Saturday. The Canaries adopted a similar approach at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge earlier this season and although both games ended in defeat for the visitors, the performances were encouraging. Make no mistake, though, this will be tough for the visitors, who are still without their preferred centre-back pairing of Elliott Ward and Zak Whitbread. They will also be facing a virtually full-strength Liverpool with the suspended Lucas Leiva expected to be the only absentee. Rich Flower

Match pointers

• Norwich have not won at Liverpool since April 1994 (when Jeremy Goss scored the only goal of the game) although they have visited Anfield just twice since then

• Since 2003-04, Liverpool have lost only one of their 24 home games against newly promoted sides (2-1 to Blackpool in 2010-11)

• Norwich are one of two top flight teams (along with Blackburn) who are yet to keep a clean sheet this season

• Liverpool have allowed opposition teams 27 shots on target against them so far this season, fewer than any other side
