Middlesbrough have been fined £6,000 by the Football Association for failing to control their players during the 3–0 defeat at West Bromwich on 17 January.

The FA brought the charge against the club for the conduct after the referee Mark Halsey had dismissed Didier Digard.

Middlesbrough admitted the charge at a regulatory commission hearing today, with £2,000 of the fine suspended until the end of the 2009-10 season pending any further breaches of the same rule.
