The Wales centre is not expected to be fit until March, giving him at best an outside chance of featuring in the final two matches

Wales's Jonathan Davies is expected to miss the majority of the Six Nations as the Lions centre continues to recover from a chest injury.

Davies has not played since he suffered a pectoral injury when playing for Wales in their opening autumn international game against South Africa.

A statement on the Scarlets website said that their captain is "progressing well and taking part in light training" but is not expected to be fit until early March.

That would rule him out of Wales's game against Italy, Ireland and France with only an outside chance of playing against England and Scotland on 9 and 15 March, respectively, as Wales look to defend their championship title.

His fellow Wales international Liam Williams, the Scarlets full-back, is expected to be fit in three weeks after suffering a fractured finger, the region confirmed.
