The two leading sides in the Premiership meet this afternoon but will be unrecognisable from the teams that won their midweek Premiership fixtures. It will be a first chance, though, to compare the talents of two debutants, Bath's rugby league recruit Shontayne Hape and Leicester's former Springbok fly-half Derick Hougaard. Bath are led by prop David Flatman with the former Tiger Scott Bemand at scrum-half while Tigers blood Dan Hemingway and Seb Pearson in their back row.
Gloucester v Wasps

Wasps, who reached the semi-finals last season, are blowing hot and cold in the Premiership and they name a strong line-up for this televised game with Danny Cipriani on the bench and Joe Worsley leading the side in a back row that contains Serge Betsen. The Australian Lachlan Mitchell makes a first start at full-back against a team led by Mike Tindall who is the only survivor from a backline that helped beat Newcastle on Tuesday night.
Northampton v Bristol

Bristol, rooted to the bottom of the Guinness Premiership, hand debuts to youngsters Matthew Turner and Chris Ashwin while their pack have an experienced look with Mark Regan hooking against Paul Shields while Northampton give debuts to the former London Irish centre Nils Mordt and No8 Rob Milligan.
Sale v Cardiff Blues

Cardiff's record on English soil in this competition is good and they travel to Cheshire in good heart, boosted by the return of Martyn Williams to their back row. Sale, reeling from a heavy defeat at London Irish in midweek, have Jason White back in their back row.
Ospreys v Harlequins

The cup holders have named a squad that is a statement of intent - Gavin Henson, Ryan Jones et al - while Quins head west with a raw line-up that includes two young props Aston Croall and Mark Lambert. Ospreys have lost once in this competition in 11 games.
Saracens v Scarlets

Scarlets do not have a good record in England, where they have won one of their last eight competitive games, but they bring a strong squad to Watford. On the Saracens bench will be Andy Farrell's son Owen: the 17-year-old will be the youngest player to play in the competition if be gets on the field.
Worcester v London Irish

The first appearance of the season of Shane Geraghty is a major boost for the Exiles. Geraghty is at inside-centre while James Bailey, a recruit from Gloucester, makes a debut at full-back. Chris Latham leads the Warriors.
